Hi!! My name is Marcel Apatewen and I am a first-generation, Trustee Scholar at the University of Southern California. I am a junior studying Health & Human Sciences and Public Relations with a minor in Extended Reality Design & Development. Some of my current roles include: serving as a Creative Strategist for USC's premier, pro-bono marketing agency, Trojan Marketing Group, the Public Relations Chair for the Black Student Assembly, and Student Health Volunteer for USC Mobile Health Clinic.

I am truly a multi-hyphenate with my passions stretching across a multitude of varying disciplines. Primarily, I am interested in creating impactful, creative storytelling through generating dynamic and immersive marketing activations. In addition, I am a huge proponent of increasing diversity in the marketing/public relations field and use it as motivation to produce amazing campaigns that both highlight and elevate a brand's messaging and consumer association.

Within the Fall '23 semester, myself, along with my team were given the opportunity to devise an extensive marketing campaign for the Broad Museum in downtown LA. As one of the lead Creative Strategists on this account, my role comprised of: — Analyzing brand association of current client, the Broad Museum, amongst the Gen Z audience and researching key statistics, museum visitor behavior, and experiential marketing trends

In my role as PR Chair for USC's Black Student Assembly, I lead a small team comprised of a videographer, graphic designer, and web developer in generating fun and culturally relevant social media/web content for Black students on campus and ensuring that Black students always feel welcome attending BSA events.
